METROARK ACADEMY In today's world of cutthroat competition parents have every reason to be concerned about their child's progress in school. In order to meet the growing demands of the syllabus as well as competition, children end up hopping from one tuition class to another. Often in order to access a "good" teacher they have to compromise with basic amenities and crowd into small rooms without proper space, air or lighting. Participation in corporate sponsored quiz / debating contests and other exciting programs are also in the pipeline - in order to give students that much needed self-confidence and competitive edge. Computers and the Internet are very much a part of the demands of today's children due to peer pressure or genuine eagerness. A thoughtful inclusion, therefore, has been the 1-hour per week free computer awareness and/or Internet surfing time. This ensures that the child's curiosity about the computer / Internet is satisfied under the guidance of trained supervisors without further investment of money & time. Lack of knowledge of opportunities after class 10 & 12 often drives students and parents to the depths of despair, especially if results have been less than outstanding. The Academy has an extensive database of education opportunities both in India and abroad and arranges special counseling for the purpose. Opening in mid-October 2003 classes for some batches have already begun. Response for academic session 2004-05 appears to be very good as evident from advance admissions already taking place. The high minimum qualifications & stringent screening procedures of the Academy ensure that the faculty panel is actually exceptional. The panel consists of very senior, highly qualified retired teachers & bright young post graduate (some rankers) with inclination for teaching. Many are PhDs.
